SCHOOL TRIPS TO ESCAPIST

ESCAPE ROOMS - BOARD GAMES - WORKSHOPS

Plan your school trip with us!

We at Escapist offer fun and educational activities, challenging your class's problem solving, communication, and co-operation skills!

Escape Rooms

We currently have five escape rooms on offer with various themes, difficulties, and scare levels.

Our escape rooms encourage co-operation, problem solving, and thinking outside the box. Having a range of themes means that your students are guaranteed to find a room that they will enjoy.

With multiple rooms, and a board game café attached, we are able to host up to 60 students at a time, cycling them between our escape rooms, board game café, and workshops.

No need to worry about the difficulty as our staff is ready to help out at all times. We run a walkie-talkie hint system in our escape rooms, giving each team the option to play the game at their leisure or race to compete for our leader boards.

Check out our escape room options below.

Workshops

Since 2019 we have been hosting school groups for escape room design workshops. These workshops start with the students playing one of our escape rooms, then discuss their experiences as a class. These workshops are delivered by our Chief Architect, Geoff who designed all of our incredible escape rooms.

Through these workshops, your students will be able to practice many soft skills such as adaptability, thinking on their feet, working under pressure, sharing feedback, and critical thinking.

We’ve created three levels of workshops, giving you options to suit any time constraints and budget.

Level 1

Duration - 1 Hour

Step by step workshop on what is involved in building an escape room. We will discuss best practice, puzzle flow, and game design theory. The workshop can be tailored to your specific learning outcomes, whether it’s game design or escape room design.

Priced from $45 per student

Level 2

Duration - 2 Hours

Hands-on workshop where students will go over escape room design theory and put it into practice. Students will work in groups, design an escape box, and test them on each other. Materials are provided and the students can take home their handmade escape boxes.

Priced from $55 per student

Level 3

Duration - 3 Hours

In this workshop, students will work in groups and apply their knowledge from workshops Level 1 and 2.

They will build their own electronic escape box using the materials provided. This workshop includes simple programming and automation.

Priced from $65 per student

Our Board Game Café

With a library of 400+ board games, we are sure to have something that you and your students will enjoy! Our library holds games which are suitable to all ages. This includes games that are quick and easy to learn, some more strategic, and social deduction games that will really get your groups thinking.

Playing games that are unfamiliar to the group creates a level playing field for all the players, and an opportunity to learn together.

Board gaming is also a great way to build connections and soft skills, such as strategic thinking, communication and adaptability.

Delicious snacks and drinks are always available, so it's the perfect space to sit back and learn together!
